Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team on a full-time, day shift. Eligible clinicians may advance salary through our Clinical Ladder Program based on experience, development, and advancement criteria.

Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, individualized care plans, medication administration, patient education, and collaborative care with the medical team. RN license, BLS, and acute care experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required (Florida or compact).
• BLS CPR certification required.
• 1+ acute care hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and regularly revise as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments safely per physician orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record.
• Evaluate care plans and adjust for better outcomes.
• Ensure infection control and safety compliance.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication.
• Supervise and delegate care to team members.
• Engage in professional development and performance improvement.
• Respond to code situations to stabilize patients.
