Job summary

Colosseum Athletics is seeking an Assistant Designer to join the Women's & Girls Design team. You will be hands-on throughout the product development process—from concept and design to fittings, tech packs, samples, and production. This is a full-time, in-office position based in Compton, CA.

You will assist with development of collections, support design research, create CAD designs, prepare tech packs, and coordinate samples and shoots while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• 2-year AAS or college degree in Fashion/Apparel Design.
• 1–2 years of fashion apparel design experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the development of Women's & Girls College and Blank Wholesale collections.
• Support seasonal concept, trend, and design research.
• Create CAD designs based on current trends and seasonal direction.
• Create detailed tech packs, including measurements, construction, fabric, and trim specifications.
• Attend design meetings and fittings; maintain accurate notes, line sheets, and tech packages.
• Organize and maintain samples, artwork, garments, and trims.
• Coordinate sample requests and shipments for Sales Representatives.
• Assist with seasonal photoshoots.
• Track projects and follow up on deadlines to keep development on schedule.
• Work in the sample area and warehouse, including shipping and organizing samples, as needed.
• Take on additional design and department projects as assigned.
