Din Tai Fung North America in Manhattan is seeking a Wok Line Cook to bring the wok to life in our high-volume kitchen. You will prepare wok dishes per our recipes, monitor cook times, and plate with precision to ensure flavor and consistency for every guest.

You’ll inspect ingredient quality, maintain a clean station, and follow health regulations. The role offers competitive hourly pay at 27.50 with opportunities for growth within our team and a dynamic, team-focused environment near Paramount

As a Wok Line Cook, you bring the energy and technique of the wok to life in the Din Tai Fung (DTF) kitchen. In this role, you are responsible for preparing wok dishes according to Din Tai Fung’s recipes, cook times, techniques, and plating standards, ensuring each dish delivers the flavor, quality, and consistency our guests expect.

You’ll check ingredient quality, cook and finish dishes with the proper garnishes, and maintain a clean, organized wok station throughout service. Responsibilities also include labeling products in compliance with health department regulations and company procedures, and participating in monthly staff and wok department meetings as part of your continued development.

PAY RATE FOR WOK LINE COOK: $27.50 per hour

Supporting Functions

• Keeps all kitchen areas clean and sanitized
• Organizes items within the walk-in coolers and freezers
• Lifts/moves boxes, bags, chairs, and tables (up to 50 pounds)
• Assists with regular deep cleaning of the kitchen
• Maintains confidentiality regarding all proprietary information, including but not limited to recipes and Standard Operating Procedures (“SOP’s”).
