Job summary

Mayo Clinic seeks a Wound Ostomy Nurse (WON) to manage wound care on inpatient units, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to assess and coordinate complex care. The WON provides leadership, education, and consultation across the medical center, aligning with Mayo Clinic’s Nursing Professional Practice Model.

Responsibilities include assessment, planning, and evaluation of patients with altered skin integrity, ostomies, fistulas, and incontinence, under the Ambulatory Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program.
• One year RN experience if not within last two years or one year Mayo Clinic RN experience.
• BSN required; CWOCN certification preferred or required within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• WOC nurse focusing on wound care on inpatient units.
• Coordinate care, educate, and consult across settings.
• Lead and mentor within Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model.
