Job summary

Phoenix Contact in Harrisburg is seeking an Operations Specialist I - WMS and Controls to support Warehouse Management Systems, controls, and automated material handling within the Distribution Center.

This individual will coordinate system utilization, monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and help ensure business continuity while working with Logistics, IT, maintenance, and vendors to drive continuous improvement and accurate material flow.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent with relevant work experience.
• 3+ years in warehouse operations, distribution, logistics, or related environments.
• Experience with WMS, controls systems, or automated material handling is preferred.
• Proficient PC skills and business software experience.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication abilities.
• Ability to troubleshoot routine issues and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical resource for WMS, controls systems, and automated handling.
• Support day-to-day WMS/controls operations and issue resolution.
• Assist in training, documentation, and process standardization.
• Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with IT, maintenance, vendors, and DC staff on enhancements.
• Support testing, UAT, upgrades, and validation activities.
• Maintain safety, quality, and customer-focused performance.
