Job summary

Harry & David in Obetz, OH is seeking a WMS Analyst to support system processes, training and operational performance. You will oversee multiple work activities in warehouse operations and work with Oracle and the Baan ERP system.

The role requires collaboration with the Operation Manager and System Supervisor as workloads shift, documentation of procedures, and hands-on floor work during non-peak periods.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support system training documentation and employee training.
• Assist Oracle operations, document issues, and educate leadership on processes.
• Ensure department procedures are documented and used.
• Use Oracle and Baan WMS to monitor and release workloads.
• Process material shipment requests accurately.
• Analyze replenishment, allocations, inventory control, and picking.
• Maintain effective two-way communication across teams.
• Perform floor work in production/warehouse during non-peak.
• Communicate workflow changes to floor leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned by warehouse operations.

Job description

The WMS Analyst will support systems processes, training and operational performance. Oversee multiple work activities in operational processes. Displays extensive knowledge of Oracle related to the Control board and will work to transfer activities between the Oracle and Baan ERP system. Accountable for communication with Operation Manager and System Supervisor as workloads/priorities change.

• Participate in system training documentation and employee training and education.
• Assist in all related Oracle operations, document issues, serve as functional expert and educate all department leadership on processes in respective functional area
• Ensures all department procedures are documented and utilized.
• Use Warehouse Management system (Oracle and Baan) to monitor, manage and execute the release of floor picking, shipping and forklift driver workloads.
• Process material shipment requests accurately and efficiently
• Research, analyze and provide problem resolution to issues on replenishment, allocations, inventory control, bin status, product master set up and picking
• Communicates effectively both horizontally and vertically maintaining two-way communications
• Work on the floor in a production and/or warehouse role during non-peak performing manual labor as required
• Communicate all change of workflow to floor operations leadership timely via phone, in-person, email and radio.
• Other duties as assigned by warehouse operations

Requirements

EDUCATION

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office,
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to consistently meet deadlines with accurate and detailed results.

EXPERIENCE

• 2+ years of related experience
• Possess exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)
• Perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and consistently meeting deadlines with accurate and detailed results
• Can use Microsoft Office for work organization, analysis and communication.
