Job summary

YMCA of Greater Indianapolis in Lebanon, IN seeks a Swim Instructor to lead safe, engaging swim lessons in accordance with YMCA guidelines.

Responsibilities include delivering structured classes, ensuring participant safety, and promoting water safety and fitness. Must be at least 16, with appropriate certifications within 90 days; prior group exercise experience is a plus. This is a part-time on-site role with benefits and scheduling flexibility.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Current swim lesson certification or water exercise certification within field.
• Obtain First Aid, Lifeguard or Aquatic Safety Assistant certification within 90 days.

(Test consists of being able to complete the strokes in which you will be instructing, able to tread water for at least 2 minutes, etc.)Must possess or obtain HCP within 90 days of employment, First Aid, Lifeguard or Aquatic Safety Assistant certification within 90 days of employment.Current Swim Lesson Certification (YMCA or American Red Cross) or Water Exercise Certifications (YMCA, Arthritis Foundation, etc.)
