Job summary

REI Engineering is seeking an experienced WisDOT Transportation Design Project Manager to lead and grow our transportation design practice in Wisconsin. You will oversee scopes, schedules, budgets, and client relationships for roadway and related infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate has a BSCE, 10+ years in WisDOT roadway design, a Wisconsin PE, and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, with strong communication and leadership skills and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• BSCE from an accredited university is required.
• 10+ years of related WisDOT roadway design experience.
• Wisconsin Professional Engineer (PE) preferred and demonstrated leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage WisDOT transportation design project scopes, schedules, budgets, and contracts.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for municipal, county, state, and private-sector clients.
• Lead WisDOT transportation design efforts for roadway, intersection, pedestrian, bicycle, and related infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate project activities with internal staff, subconsultants, clients, & regulatory agencies.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to engineers, designers, and project staff.
• Support business development activities, including client relationship management and proposal preparation.
• Assist with strategic planning & growth initiatives for REI's transportation design practice.
• Ensure project quality, regulatory compliance, and adherence to REI's quality control standards.
