Crutchfield is hiring for Wiring Specialists / Inventory Handlers at our Charlottesville Distribution Center. You will build wiring harnesses for aftermarket car stereos, follow wiring diagrams, and ensure accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll also assist with locating items, packing, and replenishing inventory as needed. The role emphasizes hands-on wiring work, tool maintenance, and cross-functional support across the distribution center.

Qualifications

• Prior wiring experience or hands-on electrical assembly helpful.

Responsibilities

• Build wiring harnesses following diagrams and reference programs.
• Perform quality checks on completed work.
• Assist with warehouse tasks such as Pick/Pack and replenishment.
• Handle packaging and shipping prep for ready-to-harness products.
• Maintain tools and workstations, and assist with vehicle wiring installations as needed.

What We Do

Wiring Specialists / Inventory Handlers are an important part of our team, building radio wiring harnesses that help customers upgrade and enjoy their new car stereos with confidence and ease. A successful Wiring Specialist is detail-oriented, hands-on, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. Their primary responsibility is building wiring harnesses that connect aftermarket car stereos to vehicle-specific wiring adaptors by following wiring diagrams and reference programs. There are several tasks throughout the production process, but accuracy and consistency are key in every harness build. When connections require direct vehicle wiring, they provide the customers with the materials and instructions needed to complete the installation successfully. When not actively building harnesses, Wiring Specialists / Inventory Handlers may assist with other areas of the Distribution Center such aslocating items via handheld scanners and packing them into boxes for shipmentandreplenishingproductorcleaning.

Job Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To The Following:

• Cutting and splicing wires using various hand tools and a pneumatic crimping machine
• Following/reading wiring diagrams to be able to make proper connections
• Perform quality check of completed work
• Working with other various programs/apps to research accurate data/troubleshooting
• Communicating wiring diagram or order errors to the proper channels (Ready-Harness Assistance, Vehicle Research team or Team Leader)
• Checking to make sure box is properly and completely packed
• Basic maintenance for tools and crimper
• Assist with other warehouse tasks (Pick/Pack, Replenishment, etc.)
• Clean-up of Ready-Harness area (sweeping, garbage, clean/disinfect workstations)
• Regular lifting (up to 50lbs) with occasional heaving lifting (up to 75lbs)
• Intermittent overhead reaching
• Standing or walking for extended periods of time

Consistent Predictable Schedule

2nd Shift B: Sunday 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday - Thursday 11:00am - 7:30pm
