MediaTek's Analog Design and Circuit Technology team in Irvine is seeking qualified candidates to contribute to state-of-the-art wireline and optical transceivers for data centers and HPC. You will work as an analog and mixed-signal designer, and DSP/system designer eager to learn, grow, and contribute to a diverse product portfolio.

The role involves architecture study of SerDes, design/verification of high-speed analog/mixed-signal circuits, cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on silicon

Qualifications

• MS or higher in EE or physics.
• Strong background in high-speed analog CMOS design.
• Knowledge of deep submicron processes.
• Familiar with serial links and wireline transceivers.
• Proficient in Cadence and mixed-signal sim.
• Independent contributor with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Study and evaluate high-speed SerDes topologies.
• Design/verify high-speed analog/mixed-signal blocks (drivers, ADCs, DACs, PLLs, clocks).
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve system performance.
• Evaluate, measure, and debug silicon to reach high-volume production.

Overview

The Analog Design and Circuit Technology team at MediaTek is seeking qualified candidates to join our fast-growing team. You will work on state-of-the-art next generation wireline and optical transceivers for data centers, cloud infrastructure, AI, and high-performance computing. We are looking for ambitious analog and mixed-signal designers, and DSP/system designers who are willing to learn, grow and contribute to a diverse portfolio of products.

Responsibilities

• Architecture study and evaluation of advanced high speed SerDes topologies
• Design and verification of high-speed high-performance analog and mixed signal circuits including, but not limited to drivers, front end circuits, samplers, comparators, ADCs, DACs, PLLs, clock distribution, etc.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to improve system performance and optimize designs
• Evaluate, measure, and debug silicon until it reaches high volume production

Qualifications

• MS or above with a major in EE or Physics related field.
• Solid background in high-speed analog CMOS circuit design
• Good understanding of deep submicron process
• Familiar with serial links and wireline transceivers design and verification.
• Proficient with Cadence design environment and mixed-signal simulation.
• Able to assume responsibility for a variety of technical tasks and to work independently
• Excellent working attitude and good interpersonal and communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $145k/yr to $220k/yr. Employee may be eligible for performance bonus and short- and long-term incentive programs. Actual total compensation will depend on skills, experience, and qualifications.
