Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Wireless Software Engineer for Starlink in Redmond, WA. You will design and maintain the wireless software stack, from MAC/physical layers to algorithms, and work with teams across hardware, software, and systems to ensure reliable global connectivity.

You will prototype key concepts, optimize performance, and participate in hardware bring-up and testing. Remote-friendly? No—this role is onsite at SpaceX in Washington state.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or STEM discipline; OR 2+ years of professional software engineering experience, programming with C or C++ in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with wireless software or network protocols.
• Strong knowledge of wireless communications, signal processing and/or network protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and maintain physical and MAC layer software of the wireless software stack for the Starlink network.
• Architect current and future Starlink hardware and signal processing algorithms.
• Hardware bring-up, debugging, verification and launch.
• Collaborate with other engineers to plan and organize development of products.
