Job summary

Lansing Community College is seeking a Wireless Security Engineer to analyze the 5G/4G applications and interfaces for security strengths and weaknesses. The SME will apply knowledge of 5G/4G system applications and protocols to identify security features and weaknesses within the wireless system.

As part of the Wireless Security Engineering team, you will work in a fast-paced environment focusing on architecting and managing security risk for 5G critical systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with three or more years of experience in wireless system security testing and/or development of wireless systems.
• Experience in 4G/5G application and data security.
• Extremely strong application analysis and writing skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong problem solving skills.

Wireless Security Engineering is seeking a 5G/4G Applications SME to analyze the 5G system’s application and interfaces for security strengths and weaknesses. The SME will use their knowledge of 5G/4G system applications and protocols to identify the security features of the system, and identify security weaknesses.

As a member of the Wireless Security Engineering team, you will work in a fast-paced environment focused on architecting and managing security risk for the 5g critical systems. You will interact with the engineers building 5G systems, back end systems development teams, and the Security organization to ensure your analysis incorporates 3gpp 5G Security standards. Your deliverables should account for all security domain considerations (e. g., application security, authentication, access control and data security). You will collaborate with vendors and internal teams in development of security requirements for the 5G wireless system.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with three or more years of experience in wireless system security testing and/or development of wireless systems.
