Placements24 is seeking an innovative Wireless Network Specialist to join its advanced technology team. Based remotely, you will design, deploy, and optimize enterprise wireless networks, covering 5G, Wi-Fi, and IoT connectivity.

You will lead RF planning, configure controllers, monitor performance, and ensure security. The ideal candidate has a master's or PhD in EE or CS and 5+ years building large-scale wireless systems.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative Wireless Network Specialist to join their advanced technology team in Welkom . This role is critical for the design, implementation, and optimization of our cutting-edge wireless communication systems. You will tackle complex challenges in areas such as 5G deployment, Wi-Fi infrastructure, and IoT connectivity. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinker with a deep technical understanding of wireless technologies and a passion for developing robust, high-performance wireless solutions that support our business objectives and enhance user experience across a wide range of applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect wireless network solutions, including site surveys, RF planning, and equipment selection for optimal coverage and capacity.
• Implement, configure, and manage wireless infrastructure components such as access points, controllers, and management software.
• Monitor wireless network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and optimize signal strength and roaming capabilities.
• Develop and maintain wireless security protocols to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
• Stay abreast of emerging wireless technologies and standards, evaluating their potential application for our network.
• Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to integrate wireless solutions with existing wired infrastructure and applications.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing, deploying, and managing enterprise-level wireless networks.
• Expertise in Wi-Fi standards (802.11ac/ax), cellular technologies (4G/5G), and related protocols.
• Strong understanding of RF principles, spectrum analysis, and interference mitigation techniques.
• Experience with network management systems and wireless intrusion detection systems (WIDS).
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to present complex technical information clearly.
