Job summary

Dexian Government Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer II at DLIFLC in Monterey, CA to monitor, test, and manage wireless network facilities. Responsibilities include planning, deployment, maintenance, and optimization of the network.

Requirements include a bachelor's degree and 3 years of progressive network engineering experience with CCNA/CCNP or equivalent certs. CCIE is not required. Candidates must have security clearance eligibility and IAT Level II certification to start.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of progressive experience in computer system/network engineering, including 2 years of specialized experience.
• CCNA/CCNP certification or equivalent network vendor certificate.
• Experience with routing, switching, wireless, firewall technologies, load balancing, and protocols.
• Experience with Ruckus/Brocade routing/switching devices and operating systems.
• Experience with Extreme Networks routing/switching devices and operating systems.
• Experience with Aruba wireless devices and operating systems.
• Experience with Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager devices and operating systems.
• Experience with Palo Alto Networks NGFW, Panorama, and operating systems.
• Experience with VMware NSX-T or infrastructure as code datacenter deployments.
• Experience with Ciena DWDM devices and operating systems.
• Ability to interface with multiple monitoring systems and establish reports.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze all network traffic. Generate reports, create diagrams via Microsoft Visio, and propose solutions to optimize the network.
• Architect and develop deployment and test plans for wire and wireless network related solutions.
• Attend and conduct meetings with other departments for integrated solutions.
• Communicate complex technical terminology to higher level authorities.
• Interface with customers and peers to share best practices in service delivery.
• Perform after hours maintenance windows.
• Lift and implement devices up to 30 lbs.
