Job summary

Dexian is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support in-home and in-business connectivity. The role focuses on planning, forecasting, implementing, and resource identification for complex wireless networks, with emphasis on designing and deploying network enhancements to improve performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of wireless network experience.
• Certifications such as Cisco Certified Wireless Network Professional (CCNP) and vendor-specific training with extensive hands-on experience.

• Participate in wireless network planning, architecture design, and engineering.
• Develop and diagram communication architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission links, and protocols into comprehensive wireless network configurations.
• Evaluate new products and resolve wireless network issues.
• Develop, implement, and refine procedures to support network operations.
• Design and deploy wireless network enhancements and improvements.
• Document and diagram connectivity issues for teams involved with infrastructure, Linux systems, load balancers, gateways, and firewalls within the first 30 days.
• Create a process roadmap for upcoming cycles such as firmware and software upgrades within 60 days.
• Continuously update and optimize processes, linking them to relevant teams, and oversee deployments including 5G core systems and gateway upgrades beyond 90 days.
• Manage core aspects of the network, including deployments and upgrades.

The engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing wireless network enhancements, as well as making strategic recommendations for improvement. Additionally, the role includes implementing wireless network architecture and designs to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and diagram communication architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission links, and protocols into comprehensive wireless network configurations.
• Evaluate new products and resolve wireless network issues.

Required Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of data wireless networking concepts, including the OSI model (touching all 7 layers) and TCP/IP protocols.
• Familiarity with wireless industry standards and specifications, particularly IEEE, ANSI, and 802.11 variants (WiFi 5 through 7).
• Experience with switching, routing, Ethernet, and transport technologies.
• Proficiency with Wi‑Fi access gateways.
• Carrier experience with OSPF and BGP protocols.
• Working knowledge of Linux systems—moving, adding, changing, deleting, and modifying configurations.
• Expertise in wireless network design, architecture, protocols, and topology.
• Strong documentation and diagramming skills, including proficiency with design software such as Visio and MS Office.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of wireless network experience.
• Certifications such as Cisco Certified Wireless Network Professional (CCNP) and vendor‑specific training (Cisco, Ariss, Ruckus, etc.) with over 10 years of applicable experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional years of specialized experience related to wireless networks and deployment.
• Advanced knowledge of proprietary or internal governance frameworks for enterprise network solutions.
• Experience managing complex network deployment projects, including 5G core systems and firmware/software upgrades.
