Job summary

Apple Inc. in San Diego, California is seeking a Wireless Firmware Engineer to join the embedded 5G/4G modem team.

You will design and implement physical layer firmware for state-of-the-art cellular modems, collaborating across hardware and software groups to deliver performance beyond previous iterations. The role requires strong C/C++ coding, embedded software experience, and familiarity with RF and DSP concepts.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field required.
• Excellent command of C and C++, with experience in embedded software.
• Familiarity with RF fundamentals and digital signal processing.

Responsibilities

• Specify, design, and develop the physical layer embedded software architecture for a state-of-the-art mobile wireless system.
• Develop and optimize baseband and RF processing algorithms in the cellular modem.
• Collaborate with Baseband, RF and hardware teams to define architecture and requirements.
• Drive key Radio features through cross-functional coordination.
