Job summary

The LSU ITS Network Engineering team is seeking a NEA Wireless Engineer 1 to assist in the design, deployment, administration and monitoring of a large enterprise wireless network. This role supports thousands of clients across campus facilities and athletic venues, delivering mission-critical 24/7 connectivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent experience.
• 1 year of related network engineering experience.
• LSU values skills, experience, and expertise; a degree is not strictly required if the required experience is met.

Responsibilities

• Operations: validate RF performance and reliability; monitor data to improve system performance; configure and troubleshoot wireless systems.
• Design: work with stakeholders and senior engineers to design and document wireless networks and lab environments.
• Support: mentor staff, respond to outages, create and publish internal support docs.
