Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin's Enterprise Technology - Infrastructure team is seeking an Enterprise Network Engineer II to plan, design, implement, and maintain campus wireless and wired networks. You will ensure reliable, scalable connectivity across classrooms, labs, housing, and administrative spaces, partnering with stakeholders to deliver high‑performing services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with intermediate network certifications (CCNA/CCNP).
• 3 years of enterprise network operations experience.
• Experience with Cisco IOS and NX-OS devices.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, routing, and LAN switching.

Responsibilities

• Design and support campus wireless networks, access points, controllers, SSIDs, and RF settings.
• Troubleshoot wireless issues including interference and roaming.
• Collaborate with ET and campus units to assess network needs in classrooms, labs, housing, and venues.
• Help standardize configurations and automate routine network tasks.
