Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree or equivalent.
  • 5 years of experience in the telecom industry.
  • Professional certifications in relevant fields.
  • Expertise in convergence solutions (Wi-Fi, Cellular, IoT, and Private Networks).
  • Proficiency in using Ekahau, iBwave, AirMagnet Wi-Fi Analyzer, and AirMagnet Spectrum Analyzer.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Mandatory Certifications: CWNP, ECSE, iBwave Level 1/2, CCNA Wireless.
  • Optional Certifications: CWNA, CWSP, CWDP, CWAP, CWNE, ACMX, CCIE Wireless, CompTIA Network+.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement wireless systems to improve cellular coverage and capacity.
  • Perform predictive, passive, AP on a stick and active site surveys using Ekahau and iBwave for enterprise customers.
  • Generate heatmaps (Signal Strength, SNR, CCI, Capacity) to meet design requirements.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation and system design information; provide KPI analysis reports.
  • Troubleshooting using protocol and spectrum analyzers and tools like AirMagnet for issue resolution.
  • Prepare BOM and ROM including costs for Access Points, Switches, Licenses, Gateways, Racks, UPS, etc.
  • Update designs for capacity growth and new technology deployment; design DAS for high-capacity venues with iBwave.
  • Post-processing of WCDMA, LTE, and 5G log files using Gladiator Pro G-Station.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in the telecom industry, with a strong grip on wireless technologies and wireless surveys. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing wireless systems to meet customer needs and ensure high-quality network performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Implementation: Design wireless systems to improve cellular network coverage and capacity. Conduct integration and optimization of new systems into the wireless network.
  • Wireless Surveys: Perform predictive, passive, AP on a stick and active site surveys using tools like Ekahau and iBwave for enterprise customers. Generate various heatmaps (Signal Strength, SNR, CCI, Capacity) to meet design requirements.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation and system design information. Review network measurements and captures, providing KPI Analysis Reports.
  • Troubleshooting: Use protocol and spectrum analyzers, as well as diagnostic tools like AirMagnet Wi-Fi Analyzer and AirMagnet Spectrum Analyzer, to troubleshoot and resolve wireless issues.
  • System Design: Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) including costs for Access Points, Switches, Licenses, Gateways, Racks, UPS, etc.
  • Technology Deployment: Update existing system designs for capacity growth and new technology deployment. Design Distributed Antenna System Networks for high-capacity venues using iBwave propagation tools.
  • Post-Processing: Perform post-processing of WCDMA, LTE, and 5G log files using Gladiator Pro G-Station.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in the telecom industry.
  • Professional certifications in relevant fields.
