Job summary

Belcan is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain firmware that runs directly on microcontrollers in collaboration with hardware engineers. The role emphasizes RF/wireless expertise, OTA updates, and robust debugging with J-Link/SWD/GDB.

The ideal candidate will have strong Embedded C skills for Cortex-M33, experience with Z-Wave, mesh networking, RF coexistence, and familiarity with Silicon Labs tools such as Simplicity Studio and related SDKs.

Qualifications

• Experience writing embedded C for ARM Cortex-M devices.
• Strong knowledge of bare-metal and RTOS firmware development.
• Proficient in interrupt-driven architectures and peripheral programming (DMA, timers, watchdogs, GPIO, UART, SPI, I2C).
• Experience with J-Link/SWD/GDB debugging and firmware update mechanisms.
• Familiarity with Silicon Labs wireless stack APIs and Simplicity Studio.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software tightly integrated with hardware.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize performance and power consumption.
• Implement OTA firmware updates and wireless protocol support (Z-Wave).
• Debug and validate firmware using industry-standard tools (J-Link, SWD, GDB).
