Job summary

Mobile Communications America, Inc. (MCA) seeks an experienced Communication Systems Technician in Sumter, SC to support our MSS division with installation, programming, and maintenance of complex communications equipment.

The role requires collaboration with service teams and customers, plus 24/7 on-call support. Candidates should have 2+ years’ experience in mobile communications diagnostics and a two-year degree preferred, with the ability to pass background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing mobile communications equipment.
• Two-year degree in Electronics, IT or applicable subject preferred.
• Ability to pass a 7-year background check, motor vehicle check, and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, and maintain complex communication equipment for customers.
• Restore communications to public safety, hospitals, utilities, manufacturing, and other critical customers.
• Design and upgrade customer systems with latest technologies.
• Collaborate with Service Manager and customers; complete tickets on time.
• Be willing to learn new communications tech and be mentored.
• Perform minor modifications to circuitry and deploy firmware updates.
• Provide 24/7 on-call technical support.
