Job summary

HP IQ, HP’s AI innovation lab in San Francisco, seeks an Engineering Intern for Wireless Automation and Test. You will contribute to validating wireless subsystems and ensure proper communication with underlying hardware, while working at the intersection of hardware, software, and data analytics.

You will develop automated data processes, analyze logs, and assist in RF characterization using lab equipment, with a focus on shipping readiness and product validation.

Qualifications

• Currently a student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
• Foundational knowledge in wireless fundamentals or RF concepts, networking protocols (HTTP/TCP-IP), or data science.
• Able to learn specialized wireless testing tools and methodologies.
• Able to communicate clearly and adjust priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop automated processes to compile and clean test data from multiple environments.
• Support software testing by analyzing logs and validating protocol behavior.
• Characterize RF behavior using lab equipment and automate measurements via scripting.
