Job summary

HP IQ, HP’s AI innovation lab in San Francisco, seeks an Electrical Engineering Intern, Hardware, to work with evaluation kits and new hardware platforms for next‑gen systems. You will design test procedures, execute test plans, and develop automated Python scripts to improve testing efficiency and accuracy.

You will evaluate results, analyze performance data, and communicate findings to cross‑functional partners, shaping hardware systems for innovative HP products.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with analog and/or digital electronics and embedded systems.
• Hands-on prototyping using lab equipment, debugging, and power analysis.
• Experience in at least one area: audio, digital buses, or sensors.
• Ability to use Python to process, analyze, and visualize time-series data.

Responsibilities

• Learn to use and program lab equipment and establish repeatable measurements.
• Develop and automate hardware tests using Python and relevant tools.
• Analyze test results and visualize trends to identify insights.
• Share data, findings, and recommendations with engineering leadership.
• Support hands-on testing, debugging, and characterization of new hardware platforms.
