PeopleReady is hiring a Wire Welder in Salem, OR. You will perform MIG/TIG/stick welding on metal parts, read blueprints to determine weld requirements, and prepare surfaces prior to welding. You’ll inspect welds, maintain equipment, and document issues while following safety protocols.

Qualifications

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $30 - $35 / hour*

What you’ll be doing as a Wire Welder:

• Perform welding tasks on metal components using techniques such as MIG, TIG, or stick welding
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine welding requirements and specifications
• Prepare metal surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, and aligning parts
• Inspect welds for quality, consistency, and adherence to specifications
• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear to ensure a safe working environment
• Maintain and clean welding equipment and tools
• Record and report any issues or discrepancies in welding tasks
