Job summary

BlueScope Buildings North America, Inc. is seeking skilled welders in Evansville, WI to fabricate and repair metal components. We welcome both experienced welders and newcomers prepared to learn in a collaborative environment.

We offer a $3,000 sign‑on bonus ($1,500 after 90 days and $1,500 at 1 year), and an evening shift (2:00 pm–10:00 pm) with overtime possibilities. Join a team focused on safety, training, and career growth.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, specifications, drawings or schematics to determine welding processes.
• Position, align, fit and weld parts to form complete units following blueprints using jigs and hand tools.
• Safely use lifting devices such as cranes and forklifts to position materials or parts.
• Perform inspections with measuring tools to ensure materials meet specifications.
• Participate in continuous improvement and corrective action activities.
• Maintain material inventory and support housekeeping and 5‑S practices.

$3,000 Sign On Bonus

$1,500 at 90 days and $1,500 at the 1-year mark.

Hours

Monday‑Friday 2:00 pm‑10:00 pm with some OT required.

What You’ll Do

• Position, align, fit and weld parts to form complete units or sub‑units, following blueprints and layout specifications using jigs, welding torches, and hand tools.
• Safely use lifting devices, such as cranes and forklifts, to position materials or parts as needed.
• Utilize measuring tools and processes to perform inspections during production, ensuring materials meet exact specifications.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement and corrective action activities.
• Maintain and organize material inventory, perform machine maintenance, and support housekeeping and organizational standards, such as 5‑S practices.
