First Merchants Bank is seeking a Wire Transfer Representative to join our team. This role processes all wire transfers for the bank and its customers via incoming, outgoing, and foreign wire requests.

Essential duties include handling wires from the Fed, validating outgoing requests, communicating with customers by email and phone, and monitoring OFAC compliance. Two years of relevant experience is required, with a comprehensive benefits package offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years in financial service, customer service, or related processing.

Responsibilities

• Process all incoming wires from the Fed.
• Validate and review all outgoing wire requests from the banking centers and line of business partners.
• Complete wire requests from customers through email and phone calls.
• Maintain statistics regarding wires received and sent.
• Monitor and check wire transactions in compliance with OFAC.
• Monitor wire GL accounts to ensure transactions are clearing timely.
• Send notification as needed to internal and external customers.
• Process foreign wires through our agent correspondent.
• Balance wire activity periodically throughout the day.
• Research and resolve issues and questions for internal and external customers in a professional and personable manner.
