Job summary

First State Bank in Gainesville, TX seeks a Wire Services Specialist to accurately process domestic and international wire transfers and deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. The role requires attention to detail and strict adherence to AML/BSA/OFAC regulations.

You will handle requests by various methods, notify customers, and collaborate with Fraud and BSA departments to investigate discrepancies while maintaining accurate CRM documentation and timely reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to both external and internal customers of the Wire Services Department
• Receives and processes wire transfer requests sent through various methods
• Provide general service and support by phone regarding wire transfer services
• Prepare and provide wire notification and correspondence to customers as needed
• Communicates effectively with Fraud Department and BSA Department on suspicious wire transfer activity
• Prepare Wire Agreements for customers as needed
• Ensure adherence to all First State Bank policies and procedures, as well as compliance to AML, BSA, and OFAC, and other regulatory requirements for wire transfers
• Identify, investigate, and resolve any wire transfer errors or discrepancies, working with relevant departments, or other financial institutions
• Verify daily, weekly & monthly reports as assigned
• Properly document customer activity through Bank’s CRM to ensure all information is archived accurately
• Coordinates with Officers regarding various approvals for wire transfers and online wire limit increases

Summary

The Wire Services Specialist is primarily responsible for accurate and efficient processing of domestic and international wire transfers. This role requires excellent customer service, strong telephone and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to strict deadlines. Attention to detail and accuracy are crucial to prevent wire losses.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
