Job summary

Van Meter Inc. is seeking a Wire Processor to support efficient order fulfillment in our Cedar Rapids distribution center. You will pick, palletize, band, label and stage pipe and wire, unload deliveries, and ensure accurate inventory while adhering to safety policies.

The role requires ability to lift 100 lbs, operate a lift truck, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Prior RF scanner experience and knowledge of Eclipse are a plus; great teamwork and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift 100 lbs on a consistent basis.
• Ability to operate lift truck equipment.
• Knowledge of Eclipse preferred.
• Knowledge of handheld RF scanner is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Pick and prepare customer pipe and wire in an efficient and accurate manner based on department procedures.
• Receive and unload commodities from delivery trucks.
• Utilize forklift equipment to locate inventory throughout warehouse.
• Prepare product for delivery by palletizing, banding, labeling and staging.
• Secure, ship and load material for customer delivery.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and report discrepancies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and tools.
• Adhere to all safety policies and initiatives.
• Cross-train in other departments as needed.
• Support team members by participating in team lifts.
