Wire or Sinker EDM Operator - Cleveland & Brecksville, OH - $10,000 sign on bonus and up to $15,000 for candiates relocating

Emerge is actively recruiting skilled Wire or Sinker EDM Machinists for direct-hire positions in Cleveland and Brecksville, OH with a leading manufacturer known for producing high-quality products. If you're looking for a hands‑on role in a fast‑paced environment where precision and craftsmanship matter, this is your opportunity! Candidates must have 5 or more years of experience operation EDM (electrical discharge machinie) Machinery, preferably making molds and dies.

• Pay: $22-$28 per hour + 20% shift premium for 2nd or 3rd shift (3rd shift only available at the Cleveland location).
• Benefits: Excellent benefits starting on day one!
• Bonus: Overtime Bonus of $250 when you work 55 hours or more in a week. Double time if you choose to work on a Sunday.
• Sign On Bonus: Paid in first paycheck. Candiates relocating to the area quaify for $15,000 sign on bonus
• Shifts:
  • 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM
  • 3rd shift: Sunday-Thursday, 9 PM - 5:30 PM (available at Cleveland location only)

Responsibilities

• Operate EDM Wire machines (Mitsubishi) or EDM Sinker machines (Sodick & Charmilles)
• Read and interpret blueprints and setup sheets to ensure precision
• Perform machining within very tight tolerances
• Inspect your own work to meet high-quality standards
• Work closely with Engineering and Programming teams throughout production
• Utilize various machinery such as Bridgeport mills, grinders, saws, and EDM equipment
• Maintain compliance with Corporate EHS, Quality, and HR standards

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• EDM machining experience of 3 or more years. Experience in Tool and Die Making is a plus!
• Experience in turbine/airfoil mold and die construction is highly preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment
• Proficiency in basic math and trigonometry
• Deep understanding of tooling processes
• ITAR Compliance: This position is subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), requiring U.S. person status (U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee). Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.; VISA sponsorship is NOT available.
