Job summary

Ag Express Electronics is seeking a detail-oriented Production Materials Coordinator in Des Moines, IA to support harness production by preparing, processing, and managing wire, cable, and related materials. The role ensures materials meet production specifications, maintains accurate inventory, and supports efficient workflow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This position emphasizes collaboration with the Harness Production Manager, accurate documentation, and adherence to safety

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in wire harness and cabling fabrication is beneficial.
• Computer skills: MS 365 or similar office software helpful.

Responsibilities

• Wire Preparation & Processing: identify wire colors/gauge; measure, cut, strip; follow schematics and production orders.
• Inventory Management & Documentation: monitor inventory, communicate shortages, complete build docs and logs.
• Equipment Maintenance & Work Area Organization: perform routine maintenance, keep area clean and safe, report malfunctions.
• Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: work with Harness Production Manager, suggest process improvements, adapt to changing production needs.
