Job summary

Kranze Technology Solutions, Inc. in Des Plaines, IL is seeking an experienced drafter/designer to support the wire harness team.

The role focuses on creating and revising wire harness drawings and schematics using CAD tools, and developing 2D/3D models of harness routing within assemblies. You will generate detailed drawing packages, coordinate with engineering, quality and manufacturing, and help improve products for defense and automotive applications.

Qualifications

Associate or B.S. in Drafting/Engineering Technology.
US citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.
Minimum four years CAD experience with wiring in defense/aviation or automotive.

Responsibilities

Create and revise wire harness drawings, installation drawings, and schematics using CAD tools.
Develop 2D and 3D CAD models of harness routing within assemblies.
Generate detailed drawing packages: harness formboard drawings, wire lists, connection tables, installation views.
Design minor components or portions of major systems and modify existing designs to develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations
Work from engineering notes, sketches, redlines, and/or preliminary drawings to create or modify designs
Work with multiple organizations: engineering, quality, and operations/manufacturing
