Job summary

RFA Engineering in Eden Prairie, MN is seeking an experienced Wire Harness Designer / Design Technologist to join our electrical and product line teams. You will design, route and integrate electrical wiring systems for mobile equipment, including harness design, layout and mechanical integration, using CAD and 3-D modeling.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Tech or related field.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to meet deadlines.
• Analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to thrive in a team environment.
• Experience with electrical harness design and CAD.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design electrical wiring systems for equipment via CAD.
• Hands-on experience in prototype harness shop.
• Test and validate harness designs.
• Create full electrical schematics for mobile equipment.
• Optimize component selection for cost targets and performance.
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing for production launch.
• Collaborate with vendors to optimize components.
