Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) seeks an Integrated Cable Harness Drafter Designer to support cable assembly development for GA-ASI platforms.

You will work with the Electrical Integration Group to provide CAD designs using Creo Parametric, NX, or Zuken E3 for complex systems. The role requires translating engineering notes and sketches into detailed drawings, while ensuring fit and tolerances, and maintaining documentation for all drawings and data.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or certificate plus 3+ years drafting experience; may substitute education for experience.
• Proven experience in advanced drafting techniques and 3D CAD solid modeling; understanding manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency with math concepts (algebra, geometry, trig) and basic computer operations for drafting tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed drawings, parts lists, schematics for engineering or manufacturing use.
• Verify dimensions and perform calculations using handbooks and catalogs.
• Determine drawing views, scales, and sections for production detail drawings.
