Qualifications

Responsibilities

HIRING IMMEDIATELY: PRODUCTION ASSEMBLER IN WAUKEGAN, IL

Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Production Assembler to join our team in Waukegan, IL. This individual will be responsible for fabricate, route, and assemble complex wire harnesses and cable assemblies according to engineering drawings and work instructions, as well as strip, crimp, solder, and terminate wires using appropriate hand tools and crimping equipment. The ideal candidate will 2+ years of experience building wire harnesses or cable assemblies in an aerospace, defense, or similarly regulated environment required, with a working knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 (or equivalent) wiring workmanship standards strongly preferred.

Pay, Schedule, and Location

• Starting at $20/hour, paid weekly

• 1st shift schedule: Monday through Friday
• Located in Waukegan, IL

Duties and Responsibilities

• Fabricate, route, and assemble complex wire harnesses and cable assemblies according to engineering drawings and work instructions
• Strip, crimp, solder, and terminate wires using appropriate hand tools and crimping equipment
• Install connectors, terminals, backshells, and other hardware per specification
• Perform lacing, braiding, sleeving, and wrapping of harness assemblies to meet workmanship standards
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints to ensure correct harness configuration
• Perform continuity and quality checks on completed harnesses; use multimeters and other test equipment as needed
• Inspect completed work for conformance to IPC/WHMA-A-620 and customer quality standards
• Use hand tools, pneumatic tools, and specialized crimping/termination equipment safely and effectively
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company and aerospace industry standards
• Document work performed as required for traceability and quality records
• Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Communicate any quality, tooling, or process concerns to supervisors or quality personnel promptly
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production area

Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2+ years of experience building wire harnesses or cable assemblies in an aerospace, defense, or similarly regulated environment required
• Working knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 (or equivalent) wiring workmanship standards strongly preferred
• Experience with crimping, soldering, and connector termination techniques (e.g., D-sub, circular, MIL-spec connectors)
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings
• Experience working in an AS9100 / ISO 9001 certified environment strongly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructionsGood manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for fine, repetitive work
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
