Job summary

Siemens Mobility’s Rolling Stock Division in Lexington, NC is seeking an experienced wire harness and control rack assembler. You’ll read blueprints, wire diagrams, and parts lists to assemble electrical racks, panels, harnesses, and related subassemblies for passenger coaches.

You’ll work from drawings and verbal instructions in a manufacturing setting with a 5:30am–4:00pm schedule, handling overhead tasks and medium-light lifting as needed.

Qualifications

  • Reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, parts lists, and wire lists.
  • Experience in electro-mechanical assembly or electrical panel work.
  • Proficient with electrical schematics and mechanical assembly techniques.
  • Clear basic English communication, both written and verbal.
  • Good fine motor skills for precise small-part assembly.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electrical control racks, panels, and mounted parts for passenger coaches.
  • Create cable harnesses and perform wire routing to exact specs.
  • Assemble roof sections, air supply racks, and piping.
  • Build electro-mechanical subassemblies from drawings and verbal instructions.
  • Disassemble, modify, refurbish, and reassemble components as needed.
