Job summary

PrideStaff is seeking a skilled Wire EDM Operator in New Kensington, PA to join our manufacturing team. You will read blueprints/CAD files, set up and operate wire EDM machines, and perform routine preventative maintenance.

Hours are Mon–Fri 6:00–18:00; pay range is $20–$30 per hour; HS diploma or GED with 5 years’ related experience required, plus strong math and measurement skills. You will use micrometers, dial indicators, and gauge blocks to verify conformance and ensure quality of tooling

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Five years of related work experience.
• Blueprint reading and drafting classes.
• Ability to use common tools.
• Strong mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Work from blueprints, sketches, or CAD/CAM files.
• Set up and operate wire EDM machines for tooling components.
• Perform routine maintenance on wire EDM machines.
• Remove slugs from work pieces and run multiple machines as needed.
• Measure, examine and test components to ensure conformance to specs and absence of defects.

Our Client in New Kensington, PA is seeking a passionate and skilled Wire EDM Operator to join our team!

Pay: $20 - $30/hr
Hours: Mon - Fri 6AM- 6PM

Responsibilities

• Work from blueprints, sketches, or computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) files
• Set up and operate Electrical Discharge Machines as necessary for the manufacturing of specific tooling components.
• Perform routine maintenance on wire EDM machines for daily operation.
• Must be able to perform basic wire-EDM functions including removing slugs from work pieces.
• Ability to run multiple wire-EDM machines as needed.
• Measure, examine and test, as required, to ensure the completed components for conformance to specifications and free of defects.
• Ability to use measuring instruments such as micrometers, comparators, dial indicators, gauge blocks, and load test equipment.

Requirements

• Completion of high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Five years working experience in similar work environment.
• Blueprint reading, metalworking, drafting classes.
• Ability to use common tools.
• Possess strong mathematical skills.
