Salary Range: $17.00 - $35.00/HR | Permanent Position with Benefits

We are seeking an experienced Wire EDM Machine Operator for our Akron, Ohio manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities and Requirements

1. High School Graduate (Trade school or experience preferred)
2. Experience setting up and operating CNC Wire EDM Machines (electrical discharge machining)
3. Knowledge of EDM processes, including wire cutting, wire burning, wire erosion, and related terms
4. Preferred: Experience with Mitsubishi CNC Wire EDM Machines
5. Skills in set-up, operation, & cleaning (threading, float cleaning)
6. Knowledge of MasterCAM CAD/CAM software programming or editing is a plus
7. Ability to read technical drawings/blueprints with good math/trigonometry skills
8. Capability to handle large parts and use measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, indicators, edge finders, bore gauges, probes)
9. Understanding of different steels and materials
10. Ability to read steel scales in fractions and decimals and perform basic or advanced layout/set-ups
11. Knowledge of mold functions is a plus
12. Willingness to learn basic or advanced CNC programming (tool path, macro programming)
13. Additional manual or CNC machining skills are advantageous (e.g., Bridgeport, lathe, surface grinder, drill press, tow motor, crane)
14. Ability to operate CNC Verticals or Mazak Lathes is a plus
15. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
16. Pass a Criminal Background Check and 10 Panel Drug Screen
17. U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders only
