Job summary

Staffmark is hiring a Wire Cutter in Spring Grove, IL to operate wire cutting and stripping machines, review job orders, and maintain quality standards. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and prior machine operation experience; ability to read a ruler to 1/64 inch is a plus.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Technical training or manufacturing education is beneficial.
Previous machine operation experience required.
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills preferred.
Experience working with wire processing or wire cutting equipment is a plus.
Ability to read a ruler to 1/64″ and convert fractions to decimals.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate wire cutting and stripping machines according to job specifications.
Review cut sheets and job orders to ensure accurate production.
Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
Inspect finished products to verify quality and compliance with specifications.
Minimize material waste through proper machine setup and operation.
Communicate equipment or production issues to supervisors.
Use manual tools to cut and strip wire and cable as needed.
Assist with additional production tasks as assigned.
