Job summary

Staffmark Group in Spring Grove, IL is seeking a Wire Cutter to operate cutting and stripping equipment, inspect outputs, and help maintain a safe, fast-paced production environment.

Ideal candidates have basic machining experience, can read a ruler to 1/64, and will minimize waste while meeting job specifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Technical training or manufacturing education is beneficial.
• Previous machine operation experience required.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills preferred.
• Experience with wire processing or wire cutting equipment is a plus.
• Ability to read a ruler to 1/64 and convert fractions to decimals.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate wire cutting and stripping machines according to job specifications.
• Review cut sheets and job orders to ensure accurate production.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Inspect finished products to verify quality and compliance with specifications.
• Minimize material waste through proper machine setup and operation.
• Communicate equipment or production issues to supervisors.
• Use manual tools to cut and strip wire and cable as needed.
• Assist with additional production tasks as assigned.

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Shift: Monday - Friday | 6:30 AM - 3 PM

As a Wire Cutter, you'll play a key role in manufacturing high-quality cable and wire assemblies. This position involves setting up and operating wire cutting equipment, inspecting products for accuracy, performing basic machine maintenance, and supporting efficient production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Ability to distinguish colors and read small print accurately.
