Job summary

Cooper Electric Supply, LLC in Cranbury, NJ is hiring for a wire room associate to review tickets, determine reel sizes, cut and label wire, unload reels, and restock in a large distribution center. Adherence to SOPs and OSHA standards is required for a safe, efficient operation.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.
• Attention to detail and good time management skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to prioritize needs in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to exercise safety while carrying out all job responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Review customer ticket and accurately determine appropriate size reel and type, size and color of wire needed to complete order.
• Correctly measure and cut wire to customer specifications.
• Properly label all completed wire cuts with applicable information, including customer label.
• Unload empty reels and reload new reels onto wire machine.
• Restock and replenish wire on wire cutting racks.
• Maintain organization and housekeeping of wire room area.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area.
• Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and OSHA safety standards.
• Other duties as assigned
