Job summary

Cooper Electric Supply, LLC. in Cranbury, NJ seeks a Warehouse Wire Technician to determine reel sizes, cut and label wires, unload/reload reels, and keep the wire room organized.

You will work Tuesday through Saturday, 2pm-10pm, at $21/hr, with a focus on safety and efficiency in a large distribution center. The role requires attention to detail, strong time management, and clear written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to prioritize needs in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to exercise safety while carrying out all job responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Review customer ticket and determine reel size and wire type, size and color.
• Measure and cut wire to customer specifications.
• Label completed wire cuts with applicable information, including customer label.
• Unload empty reels and reload reels onto wire machine.
• Restock and replenish wire on cutting racks.
• Maintain organization and housekeeping of wire room area.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area.
• Operate within SOPs and OSHA safety standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you will do:

• Review customer ticket and accurately determine appropriate size reel and type, size and color of wire needed to complete order
• Correctly measure and cut wire to customer specifications.
• Properly label all completed wire cuts with applicable information, including customer label.
• Unload empty reels and reload new reels onto wire machine
• Restock and replenish wire on wire cutting racks
• Maintain organization and housekeeping of wire room area
• Maintain a clean and safe working area
• Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and OSHA safety standards
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

• The ability to stand and walk for the full length of the assigned shift.
• The ability to lift, push, and pull material and objects weighing up to 50 lbs. and heavier weights with proper equipment.
• The ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climbto perform various duties.
• The ability to safely operate appropriate powered industrial trucks. Training will be provided.
• This job is performed in a large distribution center warehouse environment.

Salary Range: Monday-Friday 2pm-10pm.

Location: Cranbury, NJ

Work Hours: $21/hr.
