Job summary

Marmon Aerospace & Defense LLC is seeking an Applications Engineer to serve as the technical liaison between customers, sales, and internal engineering teams in our wire and cable manufacturing environment. You will translate customer requirements into practical designs and support product development through the stage gate process.

You will prepare CAD designs, technical documentation, and BOMs while providing technical support during product launch, testing, and qualification activities,

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Experience in wire and cable manufacturing is strongly preferred.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Develop wire and cable designs based on customer requirements and industry specs.
• Prepare technical documentation including specifications, BOMs, and drawings.
• Create CAD designs and cost estimates for products.
• Manage customer and industry specification files and communicate changes.
• Support new product development through the stage gate process.
• Provide technical support to production during launches or scale-up.
• Develop and execute test/qualification plans in collaboration with Operations and Quality teams.
