Job summary

Cabinetworks Group is seeking a production associate to sand and wipe wood finishes on the finishing line. You will sand with the grain, wipe with care to avoid drag marks, and actively participate with the natural work team to maintain safety and quality standards.

This role requires attention to detail and the ability to read move tickets while coordinating with other departments. Full-time employment is offered in a manufacturing environment that adheres to environmental and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Sand and wipe product on the finishing line using appropriate tools.
• Follow grain direction to ensure quality finishes and minimize rag marks.
• Communicate with multiple departments and personnel.
• Maintain production and quality standards.
• Follow safety rules, JSA and work instructions.
• Perform duties safely and participate with the team.
• Identify and report unsafe conditions to supervision.
• Cross-train in related duties as needed.

Job Description

1. PRIMARY PURPOSE -

Sand and wipe product on the finishing line.

2. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -

1. Perform sanding duties on the line using a sanding block or sanding sponge. (careful to sand with the grain of the wood)
2. Perform wiping duties on the line using a wiping rag. (Careful to wipe with the grain of the wood and checking for rag marks or drag marks)
3. Communicate with various departments and personnel.
4. Maintain production and quality standards.
5. Follow all safety rules, JSA and work instructions.
6. Perform all duties in a safe manner.
7. Actively participate with the natural work team.
8. Fix unsafe conditions if possible and report condition to supervisor.
9. Follow all environmental policies.
10. At minimum must be cross trained in job prior to and after current position in process flow.

3. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Describe each marginal function (not essential to achieving the primary purpose) in the same manner as requested in Section 2 above.

1. Performs other duties as assigned by management.
2. May rotate to other departments and duties as needed.

4. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE - A. Describe the minimum skills, knowledge, education, certifications, etc., and related job experience (yrs./months ) that incumbent typically must have to perform the essential functions of the job acceptably .
