Job summary

Leo Facilities Maintenance in Reno, NV is seeking dependable Snow Sidewalk Shovelers to clear pedestrian walkways during winter events. You will apply salt, sand, or de-icing agents and create safe, accessible pathways for all entrants.

You must be prepared for cold weather, long shifts, and outdoor labor, work with a team, and report progress to supervisors using the client verification app.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform heavy lifting and extended shoveling in cold weather.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and operate in outdoor conditions.
• Ability to communicate with supervisors and team.

Responsibilities

• Salt and De-Icing: apply salt, sand, or de-icing chemicals to surfaces to prevent ice formation or melt existing ice.
• Clearing pathways: create clear paths wide enough for safe pedestrian passage at entrances, exits, ramps, and other areas.
• Safety awareness: follow safety protocols to prevent accidents in cold weather and with equipment.
• Communication: update supervisors and team on status of snow removal and hazards.
• Record keeping: log work performed, dates, areas cleared, and materials used in the app.
• Physical stamina: endure prolonged shoveling and outdoor labor.
• Teamwork: collaborate with snow removal team members for efficient operations.
• Training: participate in training sessions on safe snow operations, equipment handling, and emergency protocols.
