Retail Associates are expected to develop proficiency beyond traditional retail, including demo support, hardgoods handoffs, bootfitting appointment support, service intake basics, inventory flow, and general Outfitters operations.CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Member & Guest Experience* Provide professional, attentive, and knowledgeable service to members and guests.* Greet members promptly and create a welcoming retail environment.* Assist members with apparel, accessories, equipment, and product selections.* Provide thoughtful recommendations based on member needs, activity, conditions, fit, and intended use.* Build rapport with members through personalized service and attention to detail.* Communicate member requests, concerns, and special order needs to the appropriate supervisor or department lead.Retail Operations* Maintains the main Outfitters retail floor to a premium presentation standards.* Conducts routine check-ins of all WPR retail components.* Keeps products folded, hung, sized, organized, stocked, and properly displayed.* Recovers the retail floor throughout the day.* Maintains fitting areas, displays, fixtures, and sales areas to high cleanliness standards.* Supports POS transactions and retail system operations as trained.* Assists with product replenishment from backstock.* Communicates low stock, damaged product, missing sizes, and member requests.* Supports seasonal merchandising transitions, floor resets, and product rotations.* Assists with daily opening and closing procedures.Product Knowledge* Develop working knowledge of seasonal apparel, accessories, hardgoods, lifestyle product, and key brands.* Stay informed on current product offerings, product features, intended use, fit, sizing, and availability.* Assist members with product comparisons and recommendations.* Maintain curiosity about winter products, ski equipment, apparel technology, and member needs.* Support special orders and member follow-up as directed.Department Support* Assists across Outfitters when needed, including demo flow, service handoffs, product staging, and general department readiness.* Helps maintain organized retail, demo, service, and back-of-house spaces.* Assists with receiving, tagging, steaming, folding, hanging, and processing merchandise.* Supports inventory organization, product movement, and replenishment.* Assists Ski Technicians and Supervisors during peak periods when appropriate.* Helps direct members to bootfitting, demo, tuning, or service support.**Cross Training Expectations**Main Outfitters retail standards.POS and member account transactions.Product knowledge and member recommendations.Special order support.Basic ski, boot, binding, and hard goods terminology.Demo handoff and return basics.Bootfitting appointment support.Service intake basics.Inventory and replenishment processes.Member service recovery.## QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS* Previous retail, hospitality, private club, ski, outdoor, or customer service experience preferred.* Interest in skiing, winter products, outdoor recreation, apparel, lifestyle retail, or mountain activities preferred.* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.* Ability to learn product information and apply it in member interactions.* Strong attention to detail and presentation.* Positive attitude and willingness to support the team.* Ability to remain productive during both busy and slower periods.* Comfortable working in a premium member-service environment.* Willingness to cross-train across Outfitters operations.
