Job summary

Paterson Public Schools seeks two Assistant Coaches for Indoor Track (Boys & Girls) for the Dec 1, 2026 – Mar 8, 2027 window. Certifications required include NJ or Substitute Teacher, CPR/AED, concussion, and heat acclimatization, with first aid training to be completed within a year of hire.

Coaching experience is preferred but not mandatory. Positions run during the winter season, with posting active for ten days following the district site posting.

Qualifications

• NJ Teacher's or Substitute Teacher certificate; experience proof required for substitute certs.
• Coaching experience preferred but not required.
• Must be available daily during the winter season.
• CPR and AED certified, current certificates required.
• Concussion Awareness and Wellness cert or equivalent, renewed annually.
• Heat Acclimatization Awareness and Wellness cert or equivalent, renewed annually.
• One year to complete a 'Sports First Aid' course after hire.
• All alternatives to qualifications may be accepted by the Superintendent.
