Paterson Public Schools - 051 East Side High School in Paterson, NJ seeks two assistant coaches for Indoor Track (boys and girls). Starting immediately, part-time stipend positions run Dec 1, 2026 to March 8, 2027 with a $7,813–$9,388 monthly stipend.

Candidates must hold NJ Teacher's or Substitute Teacher Certificate, CPR/AED, and annual Concussion & Heat Wellness certificates; first aid course within one year of hire is required.

Qualifications

• New Jersey teaching certificate or substitute certificate; proof of experience for substitute holder.
• Coaching experience preferred, but not required.
• Must be available daily during the WINTER season.
• CPR and AED certified with current certificates.
• Concussion Awareness and Wellness certificate, renewed annually.
• Heat Acclimatization Awareness and Wellness certificate, renewed annually.
• One-year completion of a 'Sports First Aid' course after hire.
• Alternatives deemed appropriate by the Superintendent.
• Positions open for ten consecutive days after posting on district site.

Season Dates: Dec. 1, 2026 - March 8, 2027

Staff Needed: Two (2) Assistant Coaches for Indoor Track (Boys & Girls)

Qualifications:

• New Jersey Teacher's Certificate OR Substitute Teacher Certificate; proof of experience required for substitute certificate holder
• Coaching experience preferred, but not required
• Must be available daily during the WINTER sports season
• Must be certified in CPR and AED, and holding a current certificate in both
• Must obtain a "Concussion Awareness and Wellness" certificate or its equivalent, renewed annually
• Must Obtain a "Heat Acclimatization Awareness and Wellness" certificate or its equivalent, renewed annually.
• All new coaches will have one year after being hired to successfully complete a course in "Sports First Aid".
• Meet such alternatives to above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
• All posting are open for ten (10) consecutive days following the date posted on the Paterson Public Schools website
