Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) in Silverton, CO is hiring a Highway Maintenance Specialist for the winter season. This full-time, part-time does not apply; position runs Oct 1 through Apr 30 with a $25.93/hour base rate and $38.90/hour overtime.

Housing stipend $500/month is available. Responsibilities include snow plowing, operating heavy equipment, mowing, debris removal, and installing signs and markings.

Qualifications

• Two years of physical labor and/or heavy equipment operation experience.
• CDL Class A or B license with no air brake restriction.

Responsibilities

• Plowing snow and maintaining roadways.
• Operating heavy equipment such as dump trucks, loaders, and bulldozers.
• Setting up traffic control and repairing guardrails, signs, and markings.
• Mowing grass, removing debris, and cleaning culverts and ditches.
• Maintaining and performing minor repairs on equipment.
• Complying with safety procedures and wearing PPE.
