Zusammenfassung

Colorado Department of Transportation in Dillon, Colorado seeks a Highway Maintenance Specialist. You will join a patrol team, plowing snow, operating heavy equipment, and performing general maintenance to keep roadways safe and open.

Expect on-call duties and weather-responsive assignments throughout the year. The role requires a valid CDL Class A or B with no air-brake restriction and at least two years of physical labor or heavy equipment experience.

Qualifikationen

• Must have at least two (2) years of physical labor and/or heavy equipment operation experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Commercial Driver’s License Class A or B with no restriction on air brakes that allows operation within Colorado.

Aufgaben

• Plowing snow and operating heavy equipment such as tandem dump trucks, loaders, and tractors.
• Mowing grass and weeds; removing debris from roadways and culverts; shoveling gravel, sand, concrete and asphalt.
• Installing and repairing guardrails, signs, pavement markings and lighting; setting up traffic control; responding to emergencies and weather events.
