The Institute for Justice, the National Law Firm for Liberty, seeks a trustworthy, detail-oriented fundraising intern to assist with a variety of tasks during the Winter season at our Arlington, VA headquarters.

You will help with donor thank-you letters, cultivate new donors through online research, and maintain our database and in-house files; compensation is $15/hour, with 20–28 hours per week and a mid-November to mid-February schedule, with potential extension into spring.

Job description

The Institute for Justice—the National Law Firm for Liberty—seeks a trustworthy, detail-oriented intern to assist with a variety of fundraising tasks for the Winter season.

In this position, interns assist in fighting government abuse and overreach by helping our team engage with our donors via thank you letters, cultivate new donors through online research, and help maintain our database and in-house files.

Interns are compensated $15/hour and scheduling is flexible although we do require availability of at least 20-28 hours/week. This internship also requires a commitment to working at IJ's headquarters office in Arlington, VA from mid-November through mid-February. An extension of the internship work period into the Spring semester is available for the right candidate.

Interns not only get an inside look at how a nonprofit manages a $50+ million fundraising operation, as well as gain valuable experience in a fun, fast-paced office environment that fights to protect Americans' civil liberties every single day.
